Chapter Two: Born Into Vulnerability

Jesus was born into a world that was not ready to receive him. There was no room at the inn, no celebration fit for a king—only a manger, animals, and the soft wonder of shepherds who heard angels sing.

From the beginning, Jesus knew vulnerability. His first breaths were taken among the poor and the overlooked. This was no accident. God chose to meet humanity not from above, but from within. In Jesus’ birth, we see a God who draws close, who enters fully into human fragility, and who declares that even the most unlikely places can be holy ground
