Youth Programs
Youth & Family Gathering
Youth & Family Gathering is a midweek opportunity for our church families to come together, share a meal, and reconnect.
Each Wednesday evening, children and adults enjoy time together over a meal before breaking into age-appropriate learning. Kids gather for their own engaging activities and faith formation, while adults participate in a Bible study designed for reflection, discussion, and spiritual growth. This time together nourishes both body and spirit, strengthening faith at every age and helping families grow side by side.Meets Every Wednesday at 5:00PM

Kids of the Kingdom
Kids of the Kingdom is our Sunday School program designed to help children grow in faith while discovering the joy of God’s Word. Through age-appropriate lessons from both the Old and New Testaments, children explore Bible stories in ways that are engaging, creative, and meaningful. We continue to add new children’s worship bulletins that bring Scripture to life in a fun, fresh way—inviting kids to listen, wonder, create, and connect with God each week.Meets Every Sunday During Service

A little about our Youth Mentors
Kambe has been a dedicated member of our church family for 23 years and currently serves as our Youth and Community Director. She believes this church is a living testament to growth shaped and led by the next generation. By prayerfully listening to the needs of the congregation—and looking to the youth themselves for inspiration—she coordinates community events that faithfully support this mission.
A fierce advocate for the young people of our church, Kambe is passionate about empowering them to take ownership of their faith, most recently demonstrated when the youth led the entire Christmas Eve program. She is also prayerfully active in heart disease awareness; having survived nine heart procedures, she stands as a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and the sustaining power of prayer.
Kambe, Youth and Community Director
Nicole serves as the Kids of the Kingdom Coordinator at First Presbyterian Church in Wasilla. Since moving to Alaska in 2019 with her husband and two daughters, she has found deep joy in building a life rooted in family, faith, and community. She especially treasures time spent together with her loved ones, seeing those moments as a reflection of God’s grace and blessing. With a heartfelt desire to raise her daughters in a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment, Nicole and her family found a true home within the church community at First Presbyterian. Grateful for the support, encouragement, and spiritual foundation they have received, she is honored to now serve and pour into the lives of children and families. Through her ministry, Nicole is passionate about helping young hearts grow in faith, feel deeply valued, and know they belong.
